The GIDA team uses OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) as a goal-setting framework that helps our organization define measurable goals and track outcomes.
In July 2025, the Golden Isles Development Authority Board of Governors and staff came together, reaffirming our strategic vision and establishing key priorities for the years ahead. Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, we outline a bold roadmap that will guide our efforts through fiscal years 2026 to 2027. Highlights of this forward-looking vision include new goals for innovation, infrastructure, business attraction, and workforce development to drive sustainable growth and long-term prosperity for the Golden Isles.
Target Industry Strategy
As part of our annual OKR process, the Golden Isles Development Authority identified a focused industry strategy as a key priority for FY26, beginning with aerospace. Guided by input from our Board of Governors, we are actively researching how peer markets support aerospace growth and identifying ways to be more competitive. With the Brunswick Golden Isles Airport and our GRAD Certified Innovation Isles Aerospace Park, we are uniquely positioned to attract aviation-related investment and strengthen collaboration.
Site Acquisition
Site development is a priority for the GIDA in FY26 to support the continued growth and meet the evolving needs of prospective industries. We are actively working to expand our industrial footprint with a focus on securing properties that accommodate a range of project types, including those that require rail access and those that do not. This strategic approach ensures we remain competitive and responsive.
Industry & Leadership Roundtables
Industry roundtables are important for fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and growth within a specific industry. GIDA will hold industry roundtables for existing industries in the Golden Isles to bring together key stakeholders to help create an environment conducive to innovation, economic development, and long-term prosperity.
