Develon, Hyundai Celebrate Grand Opening in Brunswick
Develon attributes the need for the Brunswick plant to the substantial growth it has experienced over the past five years. The company continues its collaboration with Wallenius Wilhelmsen, who will assist with the relocation and operation of the new facility. According to Chris Jeong, president and CEO of Develon, the new plant will enhance the company’s ability to serve its dealers and customers more efficiently. “Our new customization plant in Brunswick will allow us to expedite our services for our dealers and our customers,” Jeong states. “It’s a much larger facility than the previous customization plant, with dedicated space for our machines, and will better meet the custom needs of our dealers and our customers with an array of final assembly options.”
For HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America, the Brunswick customization center plays a pivotal role in optimizing the machine delivery process and ensuring a reliable inventory. Stan Park, president and CEO of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America, emphasizes the importance of the facility: “This state-of-the-art facility will help us reduce the lead time needed to get fully assembled machines to our customers.”
The Brunswick plant will not only allow Develon and Hyundai to better accommodate the customization needs of their clients but also streamline their supply chains and enhance operational efficiency. Wallenius Wilhelmsen will continue to provide logistics support to both companies, ensuring smooth operations and distribution from the new site.
