Celebrating Local Industry: Golden Isles Development Authority Hosts Fourth Annual Industry Appriciation Dinner

The Golden Isles Development Authority (GIDA) recently hosted its Fourth Annual Industry Appreciation Dinner at Silver Bluff Brewing Company in Downtown Brunswick, bringing together business and community leaders to celebrate the companies that keep Glynn County’s economy thriving.

Honoring Excellence Across the Golden Isles

Each year, the Industry Appreciation Dinner shines a light on the employers and individuals who are driving innovation, growth, and opportunity throughout our region. This year’s honorees included:

  • Innovation Excellence Award: Brands

  • Manufacturer of the Year: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

“These companies represent the heart of our business community — innovative, resilient, and deeply invested in the Golden Isles,” said Ryan Moore, President and CEO of the Golden Isles Development Authority. “Their collective success strengthens our local economy, supports thousands of jobs, and fuels the growth and opportunity that make Glynn County such a dynamic place to live and work.”

Reflecting on Community and Growth

Sherri Pruitt, GIDA’s Director of Business Retention and Expansion, shared her thoughts on the evening:

“When I look out at a room filled with so many community leaders, board members, and industry partners — all gathered to celebrate outstanding companies — I’m reminded of just how strong and special this community is. I am truly grateful beyond words to be a part of it.”

A Look at Industry Momentum in 2025

During the event, attendees also heard insights from the State of Industry 2025 Report, which showcased continued growth and activity across the region:

  • 42 new projects initiated

  • 45 attraction-focused activities

  • 100% increase in digital engagement

Recent highlights include Buc-ee’s $50 million investment bringing 250 new jobs, Hillpointe/JB2’s $70 million expansion, and a $2 million infrastructure grant for the Breakbulk Logistics Park.

Together, these achievements underscore the strong collaboration between industry partners, local government, and the development community — all working toward the shared goal of a thriving, resilient economy.

Building the Future, Together

The Industry Appreciation Dinner serves as more than a celebration — it’s a reminder of what’s possible when local industries and community leaders work side by side. From expanding job opportunities to supporting local education and workforce development, these companies continue to shape the Golden Isles’ bright economic future.
