Elevate Glynn: Investing in Local Business, Entrepreneurship and Our Community

The Golden Isles Development Authority has launched Elevate Glynn, a $1 million community investment initiative designed to support local businesses, strengthen entrepreneurship and expand access to capital throughout Glynn County.

Building on GIDA’s longstanding commitment to economic development, Elevate Glynn broadens that mission by investing directly in the businesses, entrepreneurs and community initiatives that contribute to a strong local economy.

The initiative combines access to capital, business support and strategic community investment through three primary components:

Impact Fund

In partnership with the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship, the Elevate Glynn Impact Fund provides microloans ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to Glynn County entrepreneurs and small businesses that may not yet qualify for traditional bank financing.

In addition to capital, participating businesses have access to mentorship, education and other resources through the Lucas Center to help strengthen their operations and prepare for future growth.

The Impact Fund is being developed as a $500,000 fund, with GIDA and the Lucas Center each investing up to $250,000.

Revolving Loan Fund

Elevate Glynn also expands financing opportunities for established businesses seeking to grow or invest in Glynn County.

Through GIDA’s Revolving Loan Fund, qualifying projects may receive financing for up to 50% of eligible project costs, providing another tool to help businesses move projects forward, expand operations and create jobs within the community.

As loans are repaid, those dollars can be reinvested into future projects, creating a sustainable source of capital for continued economic growth.

Community Matching Grants

Elevate Glynn also recognizes that economic development extends beyond individual business projects.

Through dollar-for-dollar matching grants, GIDA can support strategic initiatives that strengthen Glynn County’s broader economic environment. Eligible efforts may include placemaking, innovation, workforce education, aviation and other projects that enhance the community’s ability to attract and support investment.

While business recruitment remains an important part of GIDA’s work, Elevate Glynn creates additional opportunities to support growth from within the community.
