Camp Margaritaville Resort Coming to the Golden Isles in 2028
A new outdoor resort is coming to Glynn County. Camp Margaritaville Resort Golden Isles is scheduled to break ground on October 28, with construction underway and completion anticipated in early 2028.
The 54-acre development is being led by South Street Partners and Brighton Real Estate Ventures in collaboration with Margaritaville. Located at 7350 Highway 99 in Brunswick, directly off Interstate 95 near Buc-ee’s, the resort will offer convenient access to the Golden Isles’ beaches, attractions, shopping, and dining.
Plans include 285 premium RV sites and 55 casitas, along with amenities and spaces for relaxation, recreation, dining, and entertainment. IHM Outdoors, the outdoor hospitality division of Island Hospitality Management, will manage resort operations and the guest experience.
“We believe the Golden Isles is an ideal location for a Camp Margaritaville resort,” said Ben Kennedy, Co-Founder of Brighton Real Estate Ventures. “This marks an exciting milestone as we begin bringing this vision to life. With exceptional visibility and access from I-95 and proximity to some of Georgia’s coastal destinations, this project represents a significant investment in the future of the region. We look forward to creating a destination where families can stay, relax, dine, and experience everything the Golden Isles has to offer.”
The project will expand Glynn County’s lodging options and build on the continued growth around Exit 42. Its location approximately 25 minutes from St. Simons Island will provide travelers with a new home base for exploring the Georgia coast.
The Golden Isles Development Authority looks forward to celebrating this milestone with the development team and community partners as Camp Margaritaville Resort Golden Isles moves toward its anticipated 2028 opening.
